I
found my old bookmark file from back in '99 recently. I used to
have almost 70 FF7 sites bookmarked. Of those, 10 are still up
and around. Ten. It's enough to make an FF7 addict cry,
I tell you.
But more to the point, it means that all the information that
I assumed people knew or could access about FF7 is no
longer available. FF7 has become incredibly passé, given
that Square is up to FF10 and working on 11 now. *sigh*
So this page is going to contain info that is pertinent to the
Daylight & Darkness version of FF7 (which is, admittedly,
slightly A/U. But aren't all fanfics?). ^_~
The Timeline: Sorting out the timeline
of FF7 is key to understanding the timing of events and the
mess that people's lives became.
Character Bios:
| Zachary Faelen | Sephiroth
| Cloud Strife | Aeris Gainsborough
|
| ShinRa Management | Reno |

The Slums
Mako and Materia Information: Mako
is the lifeblood of the planet and the source of ShinRa's power.
Materia is condensed Mako, and a source of great power.
Recommended Links: These are the best of what's left.
Links will open in new windows.
The
Official Square FF7 Site
The
Official Playstation FF7 Site
Final Fantasy
Online: In-depth info on all the FF series. The FF7 section
has a bestiary (enemy guide), Materia section, character guides,
and extensive collections of images and other odds and ends.
RPGamer:
Still maintains an archive of info about FF7. You'll find reviews,
walkthroughs, and game guides here, as well as image galleries.
They have Amano
art -- the original concept art for FF7. Actually, Yoshitaka
Amano has done the concept art for most of the FF series. Some
FF addicts fall down and worship him. I find his art interesting,
but strange. ^_^.
NeoMidgar:
A fairly decent site for an overview of the plated city. Note
that they are treating Midgar as a real city, and some information
may be inflated/exaggerated compared to the game perspective.

Brian's FF7 Page: has a lot of good pics and info as well
as a massive fanfic archive. Also copies of the original FF7
commercials. Worth checking out!
